We are a team of anti-oppression consultants, designers, and eco futurists. We believe that organizations have the power to create access, change systems and radically reimagine possibilities through thoughtful and responsible design. If the system has been designed to oppress, it can be redesigned to liberate.

Collaborative Sessions

BC Pension Corporation Website New Tab

Pause and Effect's presentation on inclusive design was incredibly impactful and resonated with all levels of staff across the corporation who virtually attended the session. From how we help plan members on the phone to website navigation and accessibility, to the processes, procedures and systems we have in place internally to our physical space, Sabrina highlighted how inclusive design takes a more holistic view of human experience and the barriers to participation we create when we fail to consider the diversity of the people we serve. She shared lots of useful takeaways for us to consider as individuals and as an organization.
