Headshot of Sabrina

Founder and Equity Design Thought Partner

Sabrina Meherally (she/her) is an inclusive design thought leader residing as a settler and daughter of refugee and immigrant parents, on the stolen lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ y̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱ x̱ wú7mesh (Squamish) andSəl̓l̓ í lwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.

Her passion for racial equity and socio-economic inclusion brought her around the globe, learning and unlearning the ways in which well-meaning Western Societies contribute to the oppression of marginalized people around the world.

She founded Pause and Effect with the belief that thoughtful, inclusive, and planet centered solutions are the bi-product of slowing down.

Her experience as an HR business partner, UX designer and product manager provides her with a unique and holistic understanding of the way equity and inclusion intersect through every facet of an organization. Through her Inclusive Design Podcast, she explores ways in which responsibleinnovation creates a better world for everyone.

Sabrina believes that change requires our ability to self reflect, contemplate colonial thought, and imagine alternative, liberated futures. She is a wanna-be dog mom and hobby experimenter, energized by science fiction, travel adventures, and a good cup of decaf coffee.
